The Department of Religion provides a graduate concentration in Communities & Identities to examine contemporary religious and spiritual practices across local and global contexts, utilizing anthropological and historical perspectives.
This program features an evolving curriculum with rotating courses covering thematic studies, theoretical approaches, and methodological training in both History of Religions and Anthropology of Religion. Every two years, students can take a special co-taught seminar, Theorizing Communities and Identities, which explores current interdisciplinary approaches.
