Become part of a community built on the principle that information is a controllable asset with an inherently human dimension. The Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology offers a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary curriculum where you'll acquire the research expertise and vision to excel in academic and information sector leadership roles.

You'll achieve expertise where human information needs meet digital systems. Our faculty brings together experts from diverse fields including management, communications, sociology, computer science, psychology, policy analysis, and library science to deliver a people-focused, rather than technology-driven, perspective on information.

We provide full funding for all accepted candidates and require Ph.D. students to commit to 4-5 years of rigorous, full-time, on-campus study focused exclusively on doctoral research.
