The Chemical Engineering PhD program prepares students for careers in research and academia. This rigorous curriculum includes specialized coursework, qualifying exams, a candidacy oral examination, and dissertation development and defense.
To earn the doctorate, candidates must complete at least 42 credit hours, with a minimum of 24 credits in chemical engineering courses. Dissertation work does not count toward these credits.
