The Bachelor of Arts in Spanish focuses on language, literature, and cultural studies, providing interdisciplinary exploration of Spanish-speaking regions including Spain, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Latinx communities. This program enables students to examine diverse literary forms and linguistic approaches while developing critical cultural frameworks applicable to numerous professional paths. The curriculum spans introductory to advanced 300- and 400-level courses, accommodating both majors and minors. Students with prior Spanish experience (more than one year of high school study) must complete an online placement test, which is mandatory for all applicants irrespective of academic level.
