This program prepares you for technology teaching certification across all grade levels, incorporating hands-on professional training through fieldwork. The curriculum involves multiple practicum sessions culminating in a full semester of student teaching. Select from a wide array of courses such as Transportation Systems, Electronics and Mechatronics, Design, Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Mechanical/Architectural Drafting, Construction Systems, Materials Processing, Instructional Technologies, Manufacturing, and Energy Technologies.
Become part of the vibrant Oswego Technology Education Association student group. Participate in community initiatives like robotics competitions for schools. Collaborate with professors on practical projects. Represent the university in national contests through the Technology Education Collegiate Association. Contribute to Team Mini, the department's renowned miniature Zamboni initiative.
