SUNY Oswego physics alumni consistently gain admission to diverse graduate programs across the country in all fields of applied science. Students can pursue a standard BS degree, an Applied Physics specialization, a BA in Physics, or teacher certification in Physics. Our dynamic department delivers rigorous training in experimental and theoretical physics, with opportunities for advanced study in Astrophysics, Computational Physics, Materials Science, and Quantum Mechanics. To earn Honors in Physics, students must: Fulfill all Physics BS requirements while maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA in program courses.
Satisfy all Mathematics BS requirements with a minimum 3.5 GPA in program courses.
