The healthcare sector's ongoing growth creates outstanding career prospects for wellness management graduates. SUNY's distinctive wellness management curriculum blends business principles with fitness and health promotion studies.
Students can choose specialized tracks concentrating on wellness initiatives, workplace health programs, and their administration. Alongside a comprehensive liberal arts background, graduates develop expertise in health sciences/wellness, management strategies, and behavioral psychology while acquiring competencies in assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of wellness programs. For eligible transfer students, we provide an online degree completion option.
During their junior or senior year, students complete a 120-hour supervised internship, gaining practical experience in diverse environments such as fitness facilities, YMCAs, corporate wellness programs, physical therapy practices, public health organizations, long-term care facilities, medical centers, and rehabilitation clinics. The program also offers an online completion pathway for degree seekers.
