The Political Science program acknowledges today's interconnected global landscape, marked by increasing interdependence between nations and regions, along with diverse cultures and governance structures. This reality offers both complex challenges and promising possibilities. Accordingly, the department actively recommends that majors and minors incorporate internationally-focused coursework and spend at least one term studying overseas. A dedicated study abroad advisor assists students in aligning international study with their Politics curriculum.
We further understand that political engagement extends beyond classroom learning. The department maintains a Pi Sigma Alpha chapter, the national Political Science honor society that admits students based on academic achievement, and welcomes all students to participate in our Political Science student organization.
