Interested in gaining clinical experience at top-tier oncology centers while learning from radiation therapy experts? If you hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and are considering a career transition, Suffolk University's JRCERT-accredited Post-Baccalaureate Radiation Therapy Program might be your ideal choice. You'll join a team of radiation therapists during 1,200 hours of clinical rotations, gaining practical experience through observation and direct participation. At hospital sites, you'll engage in daily radiation therapy tasks, patient care, and treatment equipment operation. Upon completion, you'll qualify to take the ARRT certification exam and can start your professional journey immediately after graduation.
Our radiation therapy students will:
Precisely administer radiation treatments to cancer patients using advanced equipment like linear accelerators or proton therapy systems
Develop critical thinking and teamwork skills to address clinical challenges in real-time
Foster inclusivity by understanding and respecting the diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities, and abilities of patients and coworkers
Simultaneously apply knowledge of anatomy, patient care, infection control, physics, and technical skills
