This curriculum prepares students for New York State certification to teach Physics in middle and high schools (grades 7-12), with an additional option to teach grades 5-6. Accepted candidates may also be eligible for a General Science Extension covering grades 7-12. Developed jointly by the School of Professional Development and the University's Physics and Astronomy Department, the program caters to individuals with minimal or no background in education or prior teaching experience.
