The primary goal of our graduate program is to educate future chemical engineers who will drive groundbreaking discoveries, create novel technologies, and implement creative solutions for challenges in pharmaceuticals, food production, chemical manufacturing, energy, and other industries. Our Chemical and Molecular Engineering programs provide a comprehensive educational experience, allowing students to engage in specialized studies while mastering chemical engineering principles and their applications across diverse fields such as catalysis, nanotechnology, computational analysis, environmental sciences, fluid dynamics, rheology, materials science, polymer engineering, surface coatings, biotechnologies, medical applications, separation techniques, transport processes, and thermodynamic systems. The program's core belief centers on equipping students with both theoretical foundations and practical expertise, preparing them for successful careers in academic research, industrial development, and chemical engineering education.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in CME (or a closely related field).
A grade average of at least B (i.e., 3.0/4.0) in all mathematics, engineering, and science courses.
GRE Examination. All applicants to the MS or PhD program must submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores for the general aptitude tests. Applicants are encouraged to submit GRE test scores for the advanced examination in Computer Science as well.
Submission of TOEFL Test scores for all students whose native language is not English. Please reference for minimum score requirements. Masters students that have completed a degree program from a U.S. institution may be eligible for a TOEFL waiver and need to request the waiver from our Graduate Program Director. All PhD applicants with a TA stipend whose native language is not English must demonstrate a sufficient level of English-speaking proficiency (TOEFL Speaking score) and may be required to take ESL courses based on these measures.
IELTS: Overall score of 6.5, with no subsection recommended to be below 6
TOEFL: 90 for admission to a doctoral program and to be eligible for consideration for TA/GA support
An applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 point scale.
