Stony Brook University's Advanced Graduate Certificate in Health Education and Promotion is a 25-credit program designed to expand students' expertise, practical abilities, and competencies in health education and promotion, significantly benefiting their professional trajectory in public health. Graduates can expect to secure or advance positions in academic environments, research centers, public health agencies, or medical facilities. Furthermore, the program's curriculum aligns with the health education standards required for the nationally accredited Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential, administered by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Upon completion, students will earn credits qualifying them to sit for the certification examination.
