Ocean engineering offers diverse and expanding career opportunities in areas such as maritime governance, ship design, and ecological research. Stevens provides hands-on research experience with distinguished faculty, tackling real-world challenges including severe weather forecasting, ocean current analysis, coastal protection strategies, and port optimization. As one of the few northeastern universities offering ocean engineering, Stevens alumni are in high demand by top employers including NOAA, the U.S. Office of Naval Research, and major defense contractors like Lockheed Martin.
Students must have bachelor’s degree, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, from an accredited institution.
English language proficiency students must score at least 74 on TOEFL iBT, 550 on TOEFL PBT, 6 on IELTS.
