Students interested in conducting thorough research in Probability, Statistics, or their practical applications. A strong foundation from upper-level undergraduate or graduate coursework in mathematics and statistics prepares candidates well for the PhD program. We welcome applications from quantitatively focused students with backgrounds in other scientific disciplines. Notably, the department has broadened its research and academic focus to include computational biology, mathematical finance, and information science. Typically, completing the doctoral program requires four to five years.
Quantitatively oriented students with degrees in other scientific fields are also encouraged to apply for admission. The program normally takes five years to complete. English Proficiency: TOEFL - Your minimum score must be 100 (internet based) OR 600 (paper based).
