The Immunology PhD program provides education and research training culminating in a doctoral degree in Immunology. Students can choose between two specialized pathways: Molecular, Cellular, and Translational Immunology or Computational and Systems Immunology. This PhD program aims to cultivate researchers with deep expertise in Immunology and related disciplines, equipping them to conduct groundbreaking studies. The curriculum offers adaptable course selections and seminar opportunities paired with intensive laboratory research under the guidance of Immunology faculty members. Key program components include: developing a robust foundational knowledge through comprehensive coursework; learning to formulate significant research questions and design appropriate experimental approaches; critically evaluating current immunological literature and related scientific publications; effectively presenting research results to diverse audiences; producing publishable manuscripts for top-tier journals; and acquiring teaching proficiency.
Applicants must have an undergraduate major in biological sciences, but majors from other areas are acceptable if the applicants have sufficient coursework in biology, chemistry, general physics, and mathematics (through calculus). English Proficiency: TOEFL - Your minimum score must be 100 (internet based) OR 600 (paper based).
