This program establishes core biological and biophysical concepts while building proficiency in conventional engineering disciplines, particularly mechanical engineering. The Biomechanical Engineering curriculum merges biological sciences and clinical medicine with engineering mechanics and design principles. A high school diploma or the equivalent is required in order to enroll at Stanford. Generally, we receive English proficiency exam results (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, etc.) from applicants whose native language is not English and/or the primary language of instruction at their secondary school is not English.
