For those seeking introductory exposure, the minor provides pathways to engage meaningfully with Jewish Studies while building proficiency in Hebrew and Yiddish. Rooted in both Humanities and Social Sciences, this interdisciplinary program examines Jewish identity, intellectual traditions, and cultural expressions within broader historical frameworks, while cultivating critical analytical skills across multiple academic disciplines.
A high school diploma or the equivalent is required in order to enroll at Stanford. Generally, we receive English proficiency exam results (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, etc.) from applicants whose native language is not English and/or the primary language of instruction at their secondary school is not English.
