Examine feminist, gender, and sexuality topics by analyzing how race, class, gender, ethnicity, and disability intersect to create interconnected systems of oppression. The Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program provides undergraduate major and minor options, along with an interdisciplinary honors program available to students from all disciplines. The Program fosters artistic exploration and welcomes creative honors thesis projects. Students craft personalized study plans centered around their chosen thematic focus, combining courses from various departments. Majors can select from four specialized tracks: LGBT/Queer Studies, Arts & Culture, Health, or Global Studies. Graduates will analyze feminist, gender, and sexuality issues through an intersectional framework that examines race, class, gender, ethnicity, and disability as interconnected factors in oppression. The curriculum encourages students to explore how gender influences knowledge production and social structures, and how these can be transformed through activism and political engagement.
