The Diesel Technology program at St. Philip's College equips students with essential skills for careers in the modern, highly technical diesel technology industry. Diesel Technicians are in high demand across numerous sectors including Construction, Transportation, Agriculture, Oil and Gas, Mining, and Environmental fields. The curriculum combines classroom learning with hands-on laboratory projects, covering subjects such as Heavy Duty Brake Systems, Diesel Engines, Engine Performance, Preventive Maintenance, Basic Hydraulics, Electrical Systems, and advanced diesel technology courses. Students gain practical experience through a Practicum component. All course content and Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) receive approval from the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
