Qualification Requirements

If you wish to pursue graduate study in chemistry, your best preparation is a bachelor of science degree in a chemical science. If you do not have an undergraduate degree in chemistry, you may also submit evidence that youve successfully completed eight or more credit hours in each of the following-
Inorganic chemistry
Organic chemistry
Analytical chemistry
Physical chemistry
General physics.

You should also have taken at least six credits of mathematics, including differential and integral calculus. If you lack preparation in one of these areas, the department chair will determine which course(s) you must make up in order to matriculate in the graduate program.
