St. John's University's Public Health program - Queens, NY's pioneering initiative - was established to fulfill the critical demand for skilled public health experts and tackle health challenges across local, state, national, and international levels. Available both on our Queens campus and through online platforms, this program upholds St. John's Vincentian mission of combating poverty and inequality by equipping individuals to enhance community health worldwide.

The Bureau of Labor and Statistics identifies Public Health as among the most rapidly expanding career fields. Growing global threats like pandemics and natural disasters, coupled with rising chronic illness rates, soaring healthcare expenses, and health inequities nationally, have significantly increased demand for public health professionals.

Administered by the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, this 45-credit evening program culminates in a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a Community Health specialization. Designed for both new graduates and experienced professionals, the curriculum addresses contemporary educational needs in the field.
