The Total Worker Health Certificate is an 18-credit program centered on workplace safety, employee wellness, and health promotion. It translates psychological and occupational health research into practical workplace applications to enhance staff welfare and productivity. Northern Kentucky University's Total Worker Health Certificate collaborates with the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health's Total Worker Health initiative.
Students can complete the certificate through two pathways:
As an independent 18-credit graduate certificate
By combining required (12) and elective (6) credits within the MS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology program
Program admission requires:
Submission of NKU's graduate application
Official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions
A regionally accredited bachelor's degree
Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA (4.0 scale)
No graduate course below B (3.0) may count toward certificate requirements
