This five-year initiative welcomes undergraduate education students maintaining a 3.5 GPA who are eager to undertake a more rigorous academic curriculum. Candidates are selected based on their academic achievements and faculty interviews for this distinctive combined bachelor's/master's program in education. Modern educators need to be equipped to teach reading and writing skills to increasingly diverse student populations. New York State acknowledges the necessity for all teachers to demonstrate competency in literacy education to effectively serve every learner.
