Provides the pathway for initial certification to teach a specialized subject in New York State's secondary schools (grades 7-12). After completing the BS.Ed program, graduates earn initial certification to teach their chosen discipline (English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Biology, Physics, or Spanish) in middle and high schools across New York.
We serve as a cornerstone in developing New York's educators through our four doctoral programs (Ed.D. and Ph.D.) and 43 master's programs tailored for career changers and professionals seeking advanced qualifications or certifications. Our specialized offerings encompass Adolescent Education, Childhood Education, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Early Childhood Education, Literacy Instruction, School Administration, School Counseling, Special Education, and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
