The Social Studies track aims to foster your development and subject knowledge as a teacher. This curriculum prepares you to instruct students across all disciplines for grades four to six, with a focus on Social Studies for grades six through eight. The Middle Level Social Studies program follows standards established by the National Council for the Social Studies. If you choose this path, you'll generally complete foundational courses in your initial two years while fulfilling the Entrance to Major prerequisites. This prepares you to apply for the Middle Level Education program in your fourth semester.
