The combined Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor program allows students to begin at St. John's University School of Law prior to finishing their undergraduate studies, completing both degrees in six years. This accelerated path grants an undergraduate degree from the College of Professional Studies alongside a Juris Doctor from St. John's Law. During the first year of law school, students may transfer up to 27 credits back to fulfill bachelor's degree requirements.
For detailed guidance on suitable majors, prerequisite courses, and the law school application procedure, students should meet with the Pre-Law Advisors in the College of Professional Studies.
Typically, participants in this program submit law school applications a year earlier than conventional applicants. While traditional students usually apply during their final undergraduate year, dual degree candidates generally complete the LSAT and submit applications in their junior year.
