The integrated Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) program in Spanish enables driven students to earn both undergraduate and graduate degrees within five years of full-time study. Upon fulfilling the B.A. requirements, you transition into full-time graduate coursework during your fifth year. Mastering Spanish language and cultural knowledge equips you to thrive in our interconnected world. You'll learn from accomplished faculty with specialized knowledge, engaging in courses conducted exclusively in Spanish. The program provides internship placements at prestigious institutions like the Instituto Cervantes and Spanish-speaking consulates, plus hands-on experience in editing, translation, and publishing through the bilingual literary journal Entre Rascacielos. B.A./M.A. Spanish graduates pursue careers in education, media, translation, foreign service, hospitality, and tourism, with many continuing to doctoral studies in Spanish and related disciplines.
