The M.S. in Mathematics - Statistics Specialization Program concentrates on building advanced mathematical and statistical models and deploying them on powerful computing systems. The coursework blends practical applications, computational techniques, and theoretical foundations, with special focus on operations research, computational science, and creating both probabilistic and deterministic models. Faculty and graduate students engage in research spanning operations research, optimization, bioinformatics, biostatistics, business and financial analytics, forensic statistics, and broader statistical fields. This program excels at equipping graduates for careers in business, industry, or government sectors, while also providing strong preparation for pursuing a CSS PhD or other doctoral programs.
Student must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 to receive unconditional admission.
A minimum TOEFL score of 575 paper-based, 197 computer-based, or 90 - 91 Internet based, or IELTS score of 6.0.
