This program equips students for careers as professional statisticians. While not intended as direct preparation for a Ph.D. program, exceptional graduates may pursue doctoral studies. The applied statistics master's also serves as an excellent graduate option for Ph.D. candidates in other disciplines.
The MS in Applied Statistics requires a minimum of 33 credit hours, typically all in STAT-designated courses. (For cross-listed courses, students must enroll under the STAT prefix.)
