The Associate in Science in Computer Science for Transfer program is designed for students aiming to transition to a California State University (CSU) with a Computer Science major or related field. The curriculum provides fundamental knowledge in Computer Science principles and programming, serving as strong groundwork for various scientific fields. Students gain expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) & Design (OOD), computer architecture, data structures, and software development.
Earning an AS-T degree ensures admission to the CSU system, though not to a specific campus or program. Those transferring to a participating CSU will need to complete a maximum of 60 additional units to obtain a bachelor's degree. This pathway may not suit students targeting a specific CSU campus, private university, or non-CSU institution.
