The Associate in Science in Mathematics for Transfer (AS-T) at Skyline College is designed for students aiming to transfer to a California State University (CSU) with a Mathematics major or related field. This curriculum equips students to select and apply mathematical principles accurately, utilize diverse representations like graphs, tables, symbols, and language for clear communication, and develop mathematical models or hypothesis tests for real-world data while assessing their societal impact.
Graduates with an AS-T degree secure guaranteed admission to the CSU system, though not to a specific campus or program. Those transferring to a participating CSU will need to complete a maximum of 60 additional units to obtain a bachelor's degree. Note that this pathway may not suit students targeting a specific CSU campus, private university, or non-CSU institution.
