Get ready for a career in the expanding domains of audio engineering and music production. Learn music theory, audio recording techniques, digital and analog audio systems, and multimedia uses for roles such as audio engineer, sound designer, recording technician, and others.
The Audio Engineering Production Associate in Applied Arts and Sciences degree prepares students for work in both linear and non-linear audio environments. Shoreline Community College collaborates with local advisory boards and industry experts to ensure students gain the knowledge and abilities that employers in the sector currently seek. Students aiming for a four-year bachelor's degree in Music should refer to the Music Pre-Major, AA-DTA Planning Guide. Some institutions accept credits from this program for higher-level degrees.
A candidate for admission to Shoreline Community College must be a graduate of an accredited high school, have a General Education Development (GED) certificate, or be at least 18 years of age.
