The Master of Arts in Counseling/Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Professional Counseling equips students to foster human growth and help clients address personal, relationship, career, and mental health challenges through a wellness-oriented approach to assessment, therapy, and treatment planning. This combined M.A./Ed.S. program consists of a 48-credit master's curriculum plus 12 additional credits of advanced coursework, totaling 60 credits. The curriculum covers core principles of individual and systemic behavior while developing competencies in areas including individual/group therapy, crisis response, prevention strategies, consultation techniques, developmental psychology, career guidance, client advocacy, and cultural diversity.
