The Digital Cinema Production concentration within the Visual and Sound Media program teaches students to creatively communicate through writing, producing, directing, and editing their own narrative film projects. Through classroom instruction, practical workshops, and numerous production experiences, students master visual media techniques and comprehensive project management skills.
Students gain immediate access to all facilities - including the TV studio, radio station, and post-production labs - starting their very first semester. Extracurricular programs like PirateTV and WSOU 89.5FM provide exceptional hands-on learning experiences. The program strongly recommends internships in New York City's thriving film industry. Alumni successfully enter careers as screenwriters, producers, directors, editors, and various other media industry roles.
