Tailored for individuals holding a bachelor's degree outside accounting, our STEM-certified Master's in Professional Accounting (MPAC) equips you with essential qualifications to transition careers or advance within your company. This program caters to graduates from non-accounting disciplines (including business, liberal arts, or humanities) looking to shift into the accounting field. Albers' MPAC program helps you acquire in-demand skills valued by modern employers while providing OPT (optional practical training) options for international candidates. Those pursuing CPA eligibility or other accounting certifications will find this program particularly beneficial. Business undergraduates can complete the 225 quarter hours needed for CPA certification, while non-business majors receive personalized guidance. We're committed to developing skilled accounting professionals through a curriculum that builds comprehensive knowledge for CPA, CIA, CMA, and ACCA exams, including data analytics, visualization, and technology-driven auditing.

The program features specialized courses such as IT Audit, Advanced Accounting, Corporate Governance, Nonprofit Accounting, and Legal Studies for Accountants. Participants will gain hands-on experience through IT audit and tax practicums involving service learning. The MPAC also incorporates internship options worth up to 12 credits. Qualified students may enroll in MSAA courses with approval from program leadership after meeting prerequisites. Duration: 12-15 Months
