The field of Computer Science has expanded significantly in recent years, touching nearly every aspect of our daily routines. On average, we interact with over ten distinct computer systems daily, from ATM machines and smart point-of-sale devices to vehicle fuel management technologies.
The Computer Science Department educates students in creating and developing the intelligent software that powers these systems. Santa Barbara City College's curriculum spans from fundamental concepts to advanced studies, offering comprehensive education for both academic transfer and career preparation.

High School/University Transcripts
Equivalent of a 2.00 US GPA.
Transcripts for all coursework completed in high school (upper-secondary), English language programs, and university or college. Transcripts should be translated into English by an official translator and/or translating agency.
Unofficial transcripts are sufficient for admission purposes.
Official transcripts are required for athletic eligibility, and may be submitted at a later date.
If you are under 18 years old during your first semester, a copy of your high school diploma is required at least one week before the semester starts.

Attended a US high school or secondary school in a country where English is the primary language of instruction for at least one year.
