Dance represents a dynamic and specialized discipline within the performing arts, distinguished by its power to express emotional and cultural significance. This physically rigorous art form demands both technical mastery and deep appreciation of aesthetic principles.
This curriculum primarily serves students planning to transfer to University of California at Santa Barbara or other institutions offering bachelor's degree programs in Dance. It also establishes a strong dance foundation for those pursuing other performing arts careers or entry-level positions, such as studio ownership or employment.

Our Dance program equips dedicated students for university transfer while offering training opportunities for dancers at all skill levels. The comprehensive curriculum features diverse dance courses to develop well-rounded artists. As part of the Physical Education Department, we foster independent thinking, creative expression, cultural appreciation, and global responsibility. Our mission is to prepare students for professional paths in performance, choreography, teaching, and other dance-related fields. The program's varied dance classes aim to refine technique, spark creativity, and build performance abilities while boosting confidence, artistic expression, and analytical skills.
