The Mechanical Engineering graduate program, provided by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, gives working engineers extensive opportunities to advance their education. Through coursework and research in computational fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, dynamics of rigid bodies, robotics, vibrations, product development, finite element analysis, computer-aided design and optimization, control systems, manufacturing engineering, and mechatronic systems, students can earn a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME).
U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, or the completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited, and approved institution from a country outside of the U.S. A 2.5 GPA (from the 0.0-4.0 U.S. grading scale) in the last degree completed or a 2.5 GPA in the last two years of full-time study.
English Language Proficiency: IELTS: 6.5; TOEFL – 80 (IBT), paper based – 550, Computer based – 213; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 53. GRE- Only required if undergraduate degree is not from an accredited U.S./Canadian university. Combined score in Verbal and Quantitative must be equal or greater than 310, and Analytical Writing Score must be 3.0 or above.
