The MS-CMPE program offers students a unique blend of electrical engineering and computer science education, integrating academic excellence with Silicon Valley's cutting-edge industry practices. Today's tech sector demands engineers proficient in both hardware and software development. Through theoretical coursework paired with practical hardware design and coding exercises, the program equips students to develop modern microelectronic systems that integrate embedded computing components. MS in Computer Engineering graduates can pursue rewarding careers in digital hardware design, system verification, software development, product testing, as well as technical marketing and support roles.
An applicant must have a degree or have a degree with supplemental post-baccalaureate coursework equivalent to a four-year U.S. undergraduate baccalaureate degree with a GPA of 3.0 (B) or higher (for consideration for admission, although a competitive system of admission is used whereby higher GPAs may be necessary, depending on the applicant pool) in the hardware-related fields of computer engineering or electrical engineering. In recent years, the GPA cutoff for admission has been 3.25 (B+).
English Language Proficiency: IELTS: 6.5; TOEFL – 80 (IBT), paper based – 550, Computer based – 213; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 53.
