SJSU's Global Studies program takes an interdisciplinary approach, fostering a comprehensive worldview among students. With unprecedented global migration, trade flows, technology exchanges, and cultural blending, examining our interconnected world through fresh lenses has become essential. This program equips emerging leaders to address contemporary global challenges through diverse viewpoints. By exploring international issues from multiple angles, students gain critical thinking abilities, communication expertise, and the knowledge base for careers spanning government, education, nonprofits, international agencies, law, healthcare, media, and advanced academics. As the sole Global Studies program in the Bay Area and among few CSU offerings with dedicated interdisciplinary coursework, we pioneer this emerging academic discipline.
