The Forensic Science program in SJSU's Department of Justice Studies provides Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees specializing in Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Biology, and Digital Evidence for aspiring crime laboratory professionals. Forensic science majors develop a robust scientific background through fundamental and advanced courses in biology, chemistry, and physics, enhanced by specialized forensic science applications. Each concentration's curriculum aligns with the accreditation standards set by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences Forensic Education Program.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
