The Office of Undergraduate Education oversees the Interdisciplinary Studies, BA program. This unique major serves students whose academic and career goals aren't fully met by existing SJSU undergraduate degrees. Graduates will develop into purposeful learners capable of adapting to new situations, synthesizing knowledge across disciplines, and pursuing lifelong education.
The Interdisciplinary Studies program allows students to create a customized, cross-disciplinary curriculum leading to a BA degree tailored to their specific educational objectives. It's important to note this program isn't intended to circumvent standard graduation requirements, replace upcoming university offerings, or serve as an alternative for students struggling in their current major.
