The Department of World Languages and Literatures aims to equip students with skills for meaningful communication across linguistic and cultural boundaries. Our programs focus first on building core language competencies (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), then progress to fostering deep appreciation for significant literary works - both classical and contemporary - whether studied in their original form or through translations.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
