The Bachelor of Arts in Dance program empowers emerging artists to develop their skills through an in-depth exploration of dance techniques, composition, and stagecraft. Students pursuing this degree delve into various aspects of dance including its historical context, cultural significance, teaching methods, theatrical production, and movement science, building a scholarly framework to comprehend physical expression through historical, cultural, and scientific lenses. Participants can specialize in either contemporary dance or urban/jazz styles as their primary focus. With guidance from the department's accomplished and versatile instructors, learners are motivated to engage in performance experiences that hone their distinctive abilities as innovative creators, performers, and analytical thinkers.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
