The Art History and Visual Culture program, administered by the Department of Art and Art History, enhances students' educational experience through comprehensive studies of cultural heritage and artistic achievements. This curriculum equips learners with practical abilities to utilize their understanding within our diverse communities. Classes cover various subjects spanning Modern, Contemporary, Classical, Renaissance, Islamic, and 19th-century artistic expressions, architectural styles, and design principles. By exploring these multifaceted disciplines, students develop into engaged community members through awareness of the artistic, social, and moral decisions shaping human progress. Participants gain essential competencies in effective communication, investigative approaches, and analytical thinking methods crucial for contemporary society.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
