The School of Social Work at San Diego State University provides flexible MSW degree options with 1, 2, 3, and 4-year completion plans. Students can also pursue two combined degree programs: a Master of Social Work/Master of Public Health (MSW/MPH) or a Master of Social Work/Juris Doctor (MSW/JD). The MSW program's goal is to develop adaptable leaders committed to ethical, specialized social work practice. Emphasizing research-based approaches, the curriculum champions social justice, human rights advocacy, and community activism to improve lives. Graduates are equipped to address the changing demands of the culturally rich US-Mexico border region, Native populations, and global communities.
