The Bioengineering Master of Science program, administered by the Mechanical Engineering Department, serves as both a standalone professional qualification for careers in biotechnology and medical device sectors, and as a foundation for advanced doctoral studies in bioengineering (EngD or PhD). Candidates should possess an undergraduate engineering degree with substantial physics and mathematics coursework. The curriculum features three specialization pathways: biomechanics, biomaterials, and bioinstrumentation (detailed below). Each student's academic plan is developed in consultation with the bioengineering graduate advisor, incorporating required specialization courses along with supplementary electives.
