Students are required to finish a graduate program consisting of no fewer than 30 units, with a minimum of 24 units from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Among these 24 units, at least 15 must be from 600- and 700-level courses. Each student's academic plan must be developed in consultation with and receive approval from the graduate advisor. Our Department features a distinctive structure with three interconnected specialties - Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Statistics & Data Science - fostering strong collaboration between faculty and students both within the department and university-wide.
