This two-year curriculum equips students to become registered nurses while obtaining an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing. After finishing the nursing program, graduates qualify to take the NCLEX-RN exam, which is approved and overseen by the Texas Board of Nursing. Students gain knowledge in both the theoretical and practical aspects of nursing, essential for professional practice. Learning occurs through multiple settings - traditional classrooms, an on-campus simulation hospital with full equipment, and hands-on clinical training in hospitals or healthcare facilities. These diverse environments prepare graduates to begin their nursing careers with foundational competence.
