The Center for Advanced Dental Education at Saint Louis University provides a pediatric dentistry program culminating in a Master of Science in Dentistry degree and a pediatric dentistry certification. This curriculum fulfills the educational prerequisites for specializing in pediatric dentistry and prepares students for American Board of Pediatric Dentistry examinations. The program covers all aspects of pediatric dentistry, equipping graduates to deliver complete oral healthcare for healthy children, those with medical complexities, and individuals with special healthcare requirements. Students gain substantial hands-on training in sedation techniques, pain management, and administering dental care under general anesthesia. A master's thesis research project offers valuable research experience. The pediatric dentistry postgraduate facility features a newly renovated six-chair clinic with digital X-ray technology and nitrous oxide in each treatment area. Residents have access to private workspaces, a lounge, library resources, and dedicated classroom spaces.
